Cairns Vet Clinic July Promotion: Paralysis Tick Awareness

July is the when the paralysis tick season really starts to ramp up in Cairns.  Make sure your pet is protected.  To encourage you we will be giving free KilTix tick collars with every pack of Advantix sold.

Be sure you search your pets daily for ticks if they are exposed to Paralysis tick habitat.

Tick Paralysis is a deadly poisoning caused by tiny ticks which attach to your pet.  If your dog or cat is ever wobbly or has trouble breathing, they should be taken to a vet immediately in case it is tick paralysis.

If you are unsure of how to do this come and ask our friendly staff.  This is a vital skill when you live in Cairns and your pet goes into natural habitats where wildlife such as bandicoots may spread paralysis ticks, or if your house is close to bushland, waterways or parks and wildlife and ticks can enter your yard.
